Robin Schacht, Psy.D., Ph.D. Clinical and Developmental Psychologist
Robin Schacht, Psy.D., Ph.D., is a clinical and developmental psychologist who joined the Developing Brain Institute in June 2025. Dr. Schacht’s clinical interests include issues that arise in the transition to parenthood as well as helping parents understand their infants’ communication and emotional needs. She previously worked on a mother-baby inpatient unit in London supporting mothers experiencing severe mental illness in their relationships with their babies. Dr. Schacht also worked for many years on research studies of infant and child development in the context of stress and parental mental illness in the U.S. and the U.K. She completed her
Psy.D. at Canterbury Christ Church University and her Ph.D. at Durham University, both in the U.K. Dr. Schacht has completed specialist training in parent-infant video feedback, neonatal behavior and assessments of mother-infant interactions.
