Ishar Alexander (Alexi) Kalsi, MBBS, MSc, joined the Developing Brain Institute in April 2024 as a Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development T32 Postdoctoral Fellow. Alexi’s research focuses on how brain development is affected in patients diagnosed with congenital heart disease, specifically looking at the development of white matter tracts and blood supply. He completed his medical degree with distinction from King’s College London and his master’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience from University College London with distinction. During medical school, Alexi worked in magnetic resonance imaging research labs at King’s College London and at the National Institutes of Health.
