JOSEPHEEN DE ASIS-CRUZ, M.D., PH.D. Research Director for Imaging and Analytics

Josepheen De Asis-Cruz, M.D., Ph.D., is Research Director for Imaging and Analytics, and she joined the Developing Brain Institute in September 2014. Dr. De Asis-Cruz’s research focuses on characterizing neurodevelopment in fetuses and neonates using resting state functional MRI (fMRI). She joined the Institute after finishing her Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine where she studied neural markers of impaired social cognition in autism spectrum disorders using fMRI. Prior to her Ph.D., she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and medical degree at the University of the Philippines.
