The National Institutes of Health Women’s Health Roundtable Series continues Sept. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. with a discussion about “Elevating women’s voices to improve pregnancy and postpartum health.”

Sept. 10, from 1:30-3 p.m. (ET): The Early Childhood Developmental Health Systems Evidence to Impact Center hosts the webinar, “One Big Doable Thing! Elevating Comprehensive Developmental Promotion and Preventive Services With the Family-Engaged Well Visit Planner Approach.” Participants will hear about the practical application of the Well Visit Planner in a community health center setting and will learn about available data to inform and spark state and local partnerships.

Sept. 10, 2024: Join Katherine L. Wisner, M.S., M.D., Associate Chief for Perinatal Mental Health at the Developing Brain Institute, as she and co-panelists discuss policy and research updates about maternal suicide during a session convened by the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health. This “Congressional briefing on maternal suicide” features experts and leaders in maternal mental health and suicide prevention, and expected attendees include Members of Congress, Congressional staff and other stakeholders. Dr. Wisner is an expert in treating mood disorders during and after pregnancy who co-authored the manuscript, “Prioritizing Maternal Mental Health in Addressing Morbidity and Mortality,” that was recently published in JAMA Psychiatry and garnered national media coverage.

The National Hispanic Medical Association (NMHA) seeks 2024-2025 mentors for its NHMA College Health Scholars Program, Mentors guide and inspire emerging professionals through 30-minute, one-on-one monthly meetings that help mentees navigate their career paths and academic goals. The application deadline is Sept. 8.
