
Tennille T. Harris, LPC, LCPC Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist
Tennille T. Harris, LPC, LCPC, joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) as a Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist in September 2023. Tennille attended Bowie State University located in Maryland, for her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in counseling psychology. She is a licensed professional counselor in the District of Columbia and in Maryland. Tennille will be providing services to mothers during pregnancy and postpartum within the DC Mother-Baby Wellness program. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and couples in various mental health settings which includes community-based, residential and outpatient clinic care. Tennille is a wellness advocate and

enthusiast who cultivates the importance of self-care while exploring ways to help individuals to implement a balanced lifestyle. Prior to joining DBI, Tennille worked with mothers in substance abuse recovery while focusing on maternal mental health, recovery and reducing barriers to care.
