BRITTNI KING, MPH, CHES Program Coordinator
Brittni King, MPH, CHES, joined the Developing Brain Institute at Children’s National in May 2022 as the DC Mother-Baby Wellness initiative’s Program Coordinator. Brittni graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2019 with a Master of Public Health degree, concentrating in Physical Activity and Behavioral, Community and Social Health. Brittni is also a Certified Health Education Specialist, obtaining certification through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. Brittni has six years of experience providing direct services to underserved communities through outreach, health education, and public health programming and evaluation. She is dedicated to improving the health of under-resourced communities, and she believes every person deserves access to resources in order
to lead healthier lives. As Program Coordinator, Brittni provides quality improvement, administrative and program support to plan, implement and coordinate programs, events and educational activities for the DC-wide Community Network for Mother-Baby Wellness. Brittni is excited to have joined the Developing Brain Institute, and she looks forward to addressing the social determinants of health in order to improve the mental health of pregnant and postpartum women residing in Washington, D.C.
