Hannah Latif, BS, MPH Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
Hannah Latif, BS, MPH, joined the Developing Brain Institute as a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator in March 2024. Prior to joining our team, Hannah served as a Senior Research Associate for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National HIV Behavioral Surveillance study, where she led a team in collecting survey data among high-risk populations in Washington, D.C. She holds a master's degree in public health with a concentration in maternal and child health from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington (GW) University.
During her graduate studies, Hannah actively engaged in research and
community outreach initiatives. She contributed to GW's Campus COVID-19 Support Team as a contact tracer and conducted research on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) awareness among law enforcement and Child Protective Services (CPS) in the District of Columbia/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area. Hannah played a pivotal role in developing an FGM/C webinar and toolkit tailored for law enforcement and CPS professionals in the DMV region. Additionally, she worked as a graduate research assistant working on Systematic Observation of Mask Adherence (SOMAD); she assisted in capturing the characteristics of mask adherence and masking policies.
Furthermore, Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and a minor in Anthropology, underscoring her interdisciplinary approach to public health and research endeavors. Hannah is excited to work together our researchers, clinicians, patients and their families in the hope of improving maternal, fetal, newborn and infant health.
