Charles Mbadugha Senior Applications Analyst
Charles Mbadugha is a Senior Applications Analyst who specializes in the reliability, integration and lifecycle management of clinical and research applications in secure healthcare environments. Charles joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) in October 2025. With experience spanning statewide health‑information exchange and federal biomedical research, he translates clinical and research requirements into stable, compliant services that improve clinician productivity and patient safety. Prior to joining DBI, he worked at the National Institutes of Health, serving as a Senior Linux HPC Systems Engineer on the Biowulf platform supporting biomedical research. Charles collaborated with principal investigators and research teams to containerize research applications, harden data
pipelines and instrument application health. At the Delaware Health Information Network, he supported a statewide, health‑data exchange. There he built Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to deliver version clinical interfaces, maintained Mirth Connect channels for secure data movement, and wrote Python automations that enforced retention policies and reclaimed multi‑terabyte storage.
