KYLE DONNELLAN, BS Interim Director of Operations
Kyle Donnellan, BS, joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) at Children’s National as Operations Manager in July 2023. In April 2025, Kyle was promoted to Senior Research Center Manager and, in October 2025, Kyle again was promoted, this time to Interim Director of Operations. In this role, Kyle will oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and resource planning. Kyle will work closely with leadership and stakeholders in DBI and the Center for Prenatal Neonatal & Maternal Health Research to support strategic planning initiatives alongside sound financial decision-making and to ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures. Prior to joining DBI, Kyle worked with the Institute in Children’s Grants and Contracts Administration and Finance
department as Lead Grants and Finance Administrator. Kyle and the DBI core team worked on pre- and post-award grant activities covering grants and gifts across Children’s Center for Neuroscience Research. After many years working collaboratively with DBI and seeing firsthand the impact of their research, Kyle joined DBI to provide more direct, increased support to enhance the lab’s overall success.
