Sally M. Stoyell, Ph.D. Research Postdoctoral Fellow
Sally M. Stoyell, Ph.D., joined the Developing Brain Institute (DBI) in September 2025 as a Research Postdoctoral Fellow. Sally’s research focuses on understanding neurodevelopment using resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging. Prior to joining the DBI, she obtained her doctorate in Developmental Psychology from the University of Minnesota through the Institute of Child Development and the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain, in Minneapolis. Sally’s previous research investigated the structural development of the infant and toddler brain; hippocampal development and its relationship with episodic memory; how brain development relates to the development of sleep; and how brain trajectories and cognitive outcomes differ after such early risk factors as prematurity, infection or seizures.
